A N N O U N C E M E N T JONATHON PINSHAW TO BECOME EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF BIG COLOUR PAGES SYDNEY, August 9, 1999 – John Fairfax Holdings Limited [ASX:FXJ] announced today that it has decided to appoint Mr Jonathan Pinshaw, a member of the Board of Directors, as Executive Chairman of Big Colour Pages, a print and interactive directories subsidiary of Fairfax. Mr Nigel Dews, Director, Interactive Businesses, for Fairfax, said: "Jonathan Pinshaw’s great strengths in management and strategy will advance our re-building of Big Colour Pages in the market. This will contribute to the success of an important component of our print and interactive businesses." Big Colour Pages (BCP) is Australia’s only complete national Internet and print directory with 26 directories in locations throughout Australia. Fairfax owns 60% of BCP, and BCP founders Ian Boyle and Doug McKay own 40%.
