Your weekend is evolving, with new and improved local content

Award-winning newspaper inserted magazine Your Weekend is getting even better with more relevant, local content tailored to its three key markets.

Inserted inside Waikato Times, The Dominion Post and The Press, Your Weekend will increase in paging from September with more entertainment coverage in Christchurch, an indulgence food and beauty section in Wellington and local features and more in the Waikato edition.

Fairfax Media Group Sales and Marketing Manager Sandra King said increasing local content to enhance relevancy for readers was a natural next step in the evolution of a highly successful title.

“A winner for two years at the Qantas Media Awards, the aim now is to add paging of local content so each edition is tailored to the audiences in its three key markets. “By combining compelling national reading with great local journalism, we’re creating extremely attractive audiences for advertisers both nationally and locally.”

Your Weekend was launched in September 2008 to provide Saturday readers with premium lifestyle content generated by Fairfax Media’s network of experienced journalists.

Fairfax Media Group Executive Editor Paul Thompson said the magazine’s high quality national content that had made it so successful would remain.

Your Weekend was launched with an ambitious guaranteed readership of 350,000 and continues to grow, today reaching 478,000 New Zealanders aged 10+.
